Producer Profile:
La Vicomté was formed in 1977, and is located in the heart of the Languedoc region, between the towns of Béziers and Montpellier, with vineyards stretching out over a hilly area, illuminated by the southern sun. Their 1,200 dedicated winegrowers cultivate more than 7,500 hectares of vines, over 4 appellations.
Taking advantage of a Mediterranean climate, dry and arid during summertime and mild in the winter, La Vicomté harvest the most beautiful varieties of grapes such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Cinsault, Grenache, Merlot, Pinot Noir and many others, grown on hilly terrains fed by sediments of the Hérault River, but also on more calcareous soils such as the Villefranchian terraces and semi-slopes.
Produced under the HVE3 environmental charter and in Organic Agriculture, these fresh, fruity and easy-to-drink vegan wines offer the promise of a gustatory experience that favours moments of conviviality and sharing.
Tasting Note
This brilliant, intense ruby-coloured wine presents notes of red berries (blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant) and flowers (violet, peony). The second nose reveals aromas of black pepper and liquorice. Ample and balanced. A fruity, peppery profile with some undergrowth aromas. Light tannins give structure to the palate.
